High Pressure Acid Leach
HPAL is a process used to extract nickel and cobalt from laterite ore bodies. It utilizes elevated temperatures, elevated pressures, and sulfuric acid to separate nickel and cobalt from the ore.
Saprolite Ore
Saprolite ore is a type of nickel ore that is formed beneath the limonite zone. It contains generally 1.5-2.5% nickel and consists largely of Mg-depleted serpentine in which nickel is incorporated.
Electric Furnace
The furnace pulls cold air into an exchanger, where it’s heated over electric heating elements called coils. The unit then pushes warm air into the ductwork by use of a blower fan to heat the home.

Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP)
Mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP) is an intermediate nickel product produced from laterite nickel ore, which contains both nickel and a small percentage of cobalt. MHP is typically produced using a high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) process.
